# Quickstart

## Before you start [#before-you-start]

You need a Layo account. Sign up at [layo.co](https://layo.co). Every new account gets free credits once, on its first
workspace.

Layo's AI tools are limited to approved accounts for now, so a new account may not be able to generate yet.

## Design an influencer [#design-an-influencer]

Describe the person you want, add reference photos, or do both. Layo makes a look you can refine in plain words, like
"shorter hair". See [Influencers](https://docs.layo.co/guides/influencers).

## Give them a voice [#give-them-a-voice]

Pick a preset voice, record or upload your own, or design one from a description. Each influencer has one voice. See
[Voice](https://docs.layo.co/guides/voice).

## Name them [#name-them]

Give your influencer a name to finish setup.

## Make a video [#make-a-video]

Write a prompt, or upload a clip to star your influencer in. The price shows on the Generate button. See

## Find what you made [#find-what-you-made]

Everything you make shows in History, newest first.
