# Credits

Every generation is priced in credits. Your balance is the credits your workspace can spend now.

## How you get credits [#how-you-get-credits]

- **Sign-up gift:** every new account gets 150 free credits once, on its first workspace.
- **Plans:** Starter, Pro and Studio are monthly subscriptions that grant credits each month.
- **Top-ups:** subscribers can buy extra credits whenever they need them, at a price set by their plan.

## When you're charged [#when-youre-charged]

Credits are checked and charged when a generation is admitted, before anything is made. You see the price first. If a
generation fails, its credits are refunded in full.
